So Dane is 17 months today. Here are some of the things he can do:
His vocabulary:
momma, dadda, kitty, hot, mil (for milk), meow, moo, caw caw, woof, mmm mmm mmm, ma-maa (for grandma), da-daa (for grandpa). (Today I heard him say grandma very clearly, but I couldn't get him to say it again.)
He understands:
I can ask him where just about anything is in a room or on his body and he can point to it. I also can ask him to do something or go somewhere and he can do it (when he wants to though, ha ha). I can pretty much talk to him and he understands as long as I keep it simple.
Things he can do:
throw, catch and kick a ball, dance in circles without falling down, easily take his toys apart and put them back together, help with minor tasks around the house, take off his shoes, socks and pants, point out and tell us anything that is hot, sit quietly and flip through books by himself, use his play tools properly (pound the hammer, turn the screw driver etc.), attempt to jump but can't get his feet off the floor, and he can smile on command =)
I am sure there is more, but that is all I can think of for now =)

Just have grandma teach him how to jump on the bed...that's what worked for us...now she can jump like a champ. Not sure if it's a good thing or not:-)
He can also say "nanna" for bannana. And this grandma can't wait to teach him how to jump on the bed but hopefully not like the "three little monkeys!"
