Busy Times

I had a very busy two weeks while Alek was away at his annual training.  I didn't take many pictures, but I will post what I did get =)

Ryleigh has learned how to climb into the pack-n-play and pet the kitty.   She also somehow manages to chuck everything out of the pack-n-play so that she can fit in it.  ((sigh))

While Alek was at drill, the kids really enjoyed talking to him on the phone.  Ryleigh missed him dearly, because she didn't understand where he was and why he was gone for so long.  Here she is talking to him.  Dane, on the other hand, was better because he understood that dad was at work.

Presents for the kids.

Watching my two children hug their daddy and be so happy to see him come home, was an amazing feeling and wonderful to see.   My heart could have burst with love for my beautiful family!

Soccer Practice

Dane started soccer at the YMCA.  He will go Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30.  Here is a video from his first practice. He had so much fun!!!! I was extremely proud of him too, as he was the youngest one there, yet he was very outgoing and eager to participate in all of the discussions.  He said the only part he didn't like is when he had to sit down and listen, ha ha.

Another Weekend in Da Soo

We had another weekend up in the Sault because Alek had National Gaurd duties.

As I was up stairs packing for the trip, Ryleigh came running up to me to show me how pretty she looked.  At first, I was shocked but then could not stop laughing.   Too funny!  Don't know if Dane did this to her or if she did it herself....

We finally made it to grandpa's and grandma's, and we were happy to see all of the snow that was still on the ground.  (We were probably the only ones in Michigan who felt that way.)  Alek and I were able to take Dane snow tubing again at Minneapolis Woods too.

We took a walk to the office to visit Kathy.

Yes, Ryleigh is in a wagon that is duck taped with a pizza box.  Only in Da U.P. eh!

Dane and Ryleigh loved Kathy's betta fish so much, that Kathy gave us a vase and pebbles so we could get our own fish. Thank you so much Kathy!

My little pumpkin on grandpa's tractor.

Swimming at the Park Inn.  Both kids love the water!

Dane does well with the water wings.  He also went completely under water for the first time with Alek's help.

As soon as we reached Grosse Pointe, our first stop had to be at Lou's Pet Shop so Dane could pick out his betta fish.  There were many neat animals and even a couple wandering around the store.

Dane picked out a blue fish and said he wants to name him Goldie.  However, he is thinking of changing the name, since Goldie is blue.  We shall see what he comes up with =)

Sledding Videos

Here are two videos of Dane and Grandma Pat sledding down the John Street hill behind their house.   So nice to have a hill in their back yard!

Spring Break Pictures

I had two weeks off for spring break, and of course, I took a TON of pictures!  The first part was spent up in the Sault at Grandpa Roger's and Grandma Pat's house.  The kids and I had so much fun (Alek was not able to go with us).   We went sledding, tubing, swimming, hot tubbing, and played in the snow.  The second part of my break was spent at home.  I really enjoyed sleeping in and cuddling with Dane and Ryleigh while watching cartoons.  We spent a lot of time outside and going to playgrounds and going for walks.

Here are all of the pictures I took.  Too many to sort, so I uploaded them all.  Just click on this link:
