This and That

We move into our new house this coming weekend.  Last week the floors were finished and the granite counter tops where installed.  This week the last coat of paint is going on the walls and new carpet is going all throughout the upstairs.   We still will have small projects to do once we are moved in, but the majority of the transformation will all be completed!  Wooo hooo!     I have been busy packing and when Mary can come over to watch the kids, I go over to help Abby paint.  I can't wait for this to all be over!  I am pooped!

Ryleigh is now 5 months.  She has rolled over a few times (she just doesn't seem too motivated to try), she is teething, can easily grab things like her paci and put them in and out of her mouth, she screaches loudly, LOVES to stare and touch Tiger, and gets sad and pouts when I leave the room.

Ryleigh was getting her 5 month boppy photo, and of course, Dane wanted to get one too

Ryleigh's baldness from sleeping on her back is finally starting to grow some fine little peach fuzz, so I had to hurry and get a picture before it is all gone.

When she turned 5 months I introduced her to oatmeal.  She swallows it, but doesn't really seem to like it that much.  She'd rather eat her spoon.

Granite counter tops installed and we got two cutting boards (the installers covered up the floors to protect them).

The new furnture arrived too.  Here are just a few quick pictures of it when the movers dropped it off.   You can see the hardwood floors here.

Much Needed Update

Things have been crazy here at the Willson household so I have not posted in awhile.  Ryleigh, Dane and I are all having some sort of health issue and all three of us are seeing specialists. When it rains, it pours I guess.  And the thing of it all, we have no answers to all three of our problems.

Ryleigh has had a couple of instances in the night where she was cold and appeared to not be breathing.  When I shook her and yelled her name (after a few times), she woke with a gasp.  So the doctors are looking into it, and she has seen a cardiologist for an ultra sound and monitoring of her heart.  She also went to a neurologist to have her brainwaves measured while sleeping and awake and is in the process of getting an MRI (she went to get one today, but she kept waking up during it, so we will reschedule some other day).   All tests have come back normal so far, and they are just trying to rule out anything it could be, but we don't really know why it happened.  I have a Snuza monitor clipped to her diaper when she sleeps, and it monitors her breathing, so I feel a bit of relief.

Dane had a rectal prolapse twice last week and he also had a febrile seizure.  When he had the seizure in the middle of the night, I called 911 because I thought it was related to his prolapse and thought his G.I. tract was infected.  He went to the hospital by ambulance, and stayed there the rest of the night.  We don't know why he had the fever or prolapse though.  He even saw a pediatric surgeon and everyone is baffled.  Luckily, he hasn't had any problems in a week now, so I am hoping he is better.

Last, I have had severe burning in my stomach for two months now if I eat anything with the littlest amount of spice.  So my diet is extremely bland and boring.  I had an endoscopy done a few days ago and they took a biopsy of my inflammed stomach.  The results should come soon.  I just hope there is medicine for whatever I have because I will be sad if I can't eat regular food anymore =(

Now for some pictures

Ryleigh in the bath 4.5 months old

At the hospital, Dane sleeping and Alek, Ryleigh and I getting bored so we started taking pictures to pass the time.

Ryleigh was such a good girl.  She slept in her car seat and was content being with us no matter where we were.

Alek's turn to be in the pictures

Dane watching cartoons and waiting for his fever to go down

Dane getting annoyed with me for taking pictures

Dane getting VERY annoyed with me, ha ha.  Ok, that's the last of the hospital pictures per Dane.

Ryleigh is starting to grab her feet when I change her.  She also finally rolled over from back to tummy.  She was 4 months and 3 weeks old.

Alek has been hardly home because when he comes home from work, he quickly changes clothes and goes to work on the Morningside house.  He and Abby should be done soon and we hope to move in a couple weeks.

Another cute picture of Ryleigh in her tub.

Grandpa Roger went with us to Jungle Java while Grandma Pat went to church.  Here Ryleigh is having fun watching all the kids run around the jungle gym.

Since Alek is often gone at night working on the house, I have to put both kids to bed on my own.  I have a simple system down now.  Ryleigh sits in her bouncy chair while I give Dane a bath and get him ready for bed.  We then go down stairs, I nurse Ryleigh and put her to bed while Dane watches an episode of Caillou.  I then put Dane to bed.  I can do it all in about a half hour.  Not bad!
