Dane's Big Boy Bed

Aunt Angie and Uncle Matt gave Dane their race car bed because Liam grew out of it. (Yes, I know we are very lucky to receive all of their hand-me-downs!) Dane was super excited to have it in his room and also had a lot of fun pulling off the mattress and playing inside the frame (hopefully I can keep him from continuing to pull it all apart - we'll see). He has had it in his room for a day now, but does not want to sleep on it yet and prefers the crib. Once we take the crib down, I am sure he will be fine though.

Football Fun!

Dane's cousin, Luke Willson, had a birthday party on Saturday where all the boys played football at Grosse Pointe South Football Field. It was a lot of fun for all and Alek can't wait to start teaching Dane the fundamentals of the game.

Some more pictures

Ryleigh got Dane a John Deer tractor toy.  Dane was very excited and went up to her crib and said, "Dank you Wyleigh!"

Dane and Alek got Ryleigh and me these beautiful flowers.

Dane also recieved this big excavator when Ryleigh and I  came home from the hospital. (It was a hand-me-down from Matt and Angie, so we decided to wait to give it to Dane for this day so he felt extra special.)

Mary made Ryleigh this beautiful blanket.  It is so soft and cuddly.  I use it everyday as her main blanket to snuggle up in and she just loves it!

Dr, Zalenski was not able to deliver Ryleigh because he was out of town, but I got a photo of him anyway.   Dr. Millican delivered Ryleigh, but she was only in the room for about 10-15 minutes because the delivery was so fast.  I barely even remember what she looks like.  I am not complaining though.  I am super glad it was a speedy process =)

Welcome Ryleigh Lynn Willson!

Ryleigh Lynn was born Sunday morning at 12:18am on September 11, 2011.

She weighed in at 7 lbs. 15.1 oz. and was 20.5 inches long. She is very healthy and looks exactly like Dane when he was born. I had to only push once for about 10-20 seconds, and she came right out! The doctor pretty much had to catch her. (I believe it was so quick because I had to wait a good half hour after my water broke for the doctor to get to the hospital, otherwise I would have pushed her out sooner.)

I woke up Saturday feeling crampy and around 3:30pm I started tracking my contractions.  Around 8:30pm, after walking around the block with Alek many times, we went to the hospital when the contractions were 3-5 minutes apart.  In this picture I am in the triage center and I was dialated to 4cm.  Obviously I am in between contractions here =)

Aunt Angie Willson was working at the hospital that night so she was able to get us the VIP treatment and take pictures for us.  Thanks so much Angie!

When Dane came to visit he gave me a great big hug and then immediately looked around to find Ryleigh.  When he finally saw her, he had a look of amazement on his face and then smiled and said, "Baby!"  I asked him to say hi and he waved and said, "Hi Ryleigh.... baby sister."  It was really sweet!

Bob's Going Away Party

Bob leaves for the Marshall Islands early tomorrow morning to go back to work at the University.  So tonight there was a going away party for him.  As always, the boys had a lot of fun!

Lex going down the zip line Bob built.

Dane bringing the zip line back up.

Luke going down the homemade water slide.

 Lex's turn.

 Dane's turn.

Mmmm, pizza!  A special treat for Dane since he is on a low-dairy diet.

Check out Dane and Liam in this one =)
